Renfrewshire Chamber via its Chief Exec' Bob Davidson - is actively involved in Young Enterprise Scotland - Renfrewshire Area Board (includes East Ren & Inverclyde)

Bob's role as one of the many volunteer Board Members of YES - is to raise funds, recruit Business Advisors and help market YES

YES RAB (Renfrewshire Area Board) - delivers the Company Programme (click here - http://www.young-enterprise.org.uk/resources/COMPANY_PROGRAMME.pdf) to S5 & S6 school pupils. The Company Programme runs from approx. August to March and involves teams from schools forming a real company that markets a real product / service. The programme teaches the students real practical business skills in a safe environment - during which they have support from the school via a link teacher and an experienced business person in the form of a Business Advisor. Business Advisors can be any age - as long as they have business experience. Committment is approx. 1 hr a week, usually in the school with the teams and the Link Teacher - from Aug/Sep to approx. March. We try, where possible, to assign a BA to a school that is near their work / home.
